Hezekiah Rejects the Evil Report of Death

2 Kings 20:1-7 In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.

Upon hearing from Prophet Isaiah that he would die, Hezekiah wept sore and made supplication to God Almighty. The bible says that we should be careful for NOTHING but with prayer and supplication with thanksgiving we should make our requests known to God (Phil. 4:6).

Brethren, God is the judge of the universe. We all have the right to go into the courtroom of God and state our cases before him. He is a just God. The bible tells us in Isaiah 64:6 that our own righteousness is as filthy rags before God. We should therefore go to God, not with our own righteousness, BUT with the righteousness of Jesus who is Jehovah Tsikenu. We must also plead the blood. The blood of Jesus cleanses from “ALL” sins. Brethren, always plead “the blood”. When you plead “the blood”, you will surely be acquitted by the Judge of the universe (God).
After hearing the evil report of death, Hezekiah went to God with the word. The word of God is God himself (John 1:1). Hezekiah knew that it is written in Exodus 23:25 that God will take away sickness from him. He also knew that it is written in Psalm 91 that God promises to satisfy him with LONG LIFE if he dwelt in the secret place of the most high.

God says in the bible that we should bring him our strong reasons (Isaiah 41:21). Brethren, state your cases before God. He is a just God. Hezekiah took his case to the Judge of the universe. He knew the promises of God concerning his life and was not about to accept the evil report of death! Brethren, it does not matter who brings you bad news, you have the right to reject it in the name of Jesus and confess what the word of God says about that situation. It is the truth that you know that will set you free and emancipate you. That’s why you must study the word to show thyself approved (2 Tim. 2:15). Doctors may have written you off. Society may have written you off. People in your church may think there is no hope for you. But the bible says in lamentations that who is it that says anything about you when God did not command it?

Lamentations 3:37 - Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?

Brethren, God is the only one that has a final say over your destiny. If there is hope for a tree to germinate again after it has been cut down, how much more hope is there for you who have been fearfully and wonderfully made after the image of Almighty God? The bible also says in Job that when men are cast down there is a lifting up and that God will save the humble person (Job 22:29).

Brethren, you are a masterpiece of God. He does not create failures. Do not look at yourself the way others do (they tend to only see your faults and NOTHING good about you). Start looking at yourself the way God sees you. If anyone says something to you that is not in line with God’s promises for your life, you have the right to REJECT it in the name of Jesus! You should always reject every evil report and believe the report of the Lord.

Because Hezekiah rejected the evil report of death and went to God with His word, God decided to heal him and add FIFTEEN YEARS to his life! Jabez is another brother who rejected what life brought him and God turned the story of his life around for the better. Brethren, what report do people have about you? If you don’t like it then by the mercies of God I exhort you to REJECT it.
Be Blessed!

Having Done All, STAND !

Ephesians 6:13 - Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Brethren, there is a time in every believer’s walk with the Lord that it seems as if you have done “ALL” you know to do and yet things do not seem to get any better. Brethren, you may have given all you can; you may have sown many seeds. You may have sung in the choir. You may have ushered. You may have danced to the glory of God. You may have interceded for others. You may have fasted and done “ALL” you know to do. Brethren, having done “ALL”, stand!
Stand firm in that church that God has planted you. The bible says those that are “planted” in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of God (Psalm 92:13). You shall flourish like a cedar in Lebanon in Jesus’ mighty name!

Brethren, don’t let afflictions and difficulties deter you from dancing, praising and worshipping God. “Many are the afflictions of the RIGHTEOUS but the Lord delivers him out of them all”. Brethren, God knows what you may be going through. Be rest assured that he will deliver you and your testimony will bring others to Christ. Brethren, the greater the test the greater the testimony. Having done “ALL”, stand! It is written in 2 Chronicles 20:20 that you should believe in God and you shall be established; believe his prophets and you shall prosper. Brethren, do not forsake those prophecies you received from God. Bring them to God’s remembrance (Isaiah 43:26). God says that we should come to him with our strong reasons:

Isaiah 41:21 - Produce your cause, saith the LORD; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob.

Brethren, stand upon God’s words and promises for you. Stand and praise and dance to the glory of God. Stand with the assurance that God never forsakes his saints. David said in the book of Psalms that he has never seen the righteous forsaken. Those people who are looking at you wondering where your God is would be the same ones to witness your testimony.
Brethren, having done “all”, Stand ! God Almighty has seen your affliction. He has heard your cry. He has come to deliver you from your strong enemy. You have rejoiced with those who are rejoicing. The set time has come for others to rejoice with you. It shall be so in the mighty name of Jesus.
Be Blessed!

Great Calm to a Great Storm

Mark 4:35 -41
And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side. And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships. And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith? And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?

Brethren, there is a GREAT calm to every GREAT storm in your lives. From the above passage, we can clearly see that it was after Jesus told his disciples that they should go to the other side that there arose not just a storm but a GREAT storm!

Brethren, in our lives right before our breakthroughs comes opposition. At the moment we are about to cross over to the other side (of poverty, loneliness, joblessness, reproach, shame, frustration, embarrassment, etc) is usually when a GREAT storm arises. This could be in any form e.g lack of money, fear, demonic attacks, etc. Brethren, we may have heard clearly from God concerning something, then all of a sudden, things just don't seem to go the way you expect…

We need to recognize these as devices of the enemy to delay our miracle. Job 5:12 tells us that "He disappointed the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise". Brethren, call upon God to "disappoint" every crafty device fashioned to delay your miracle. I pray in the mighty name of Jesus that the hands of the crafty will not perform its enterprise in your lives!!!

In the above bible passage, Jesus SLEPT through the GREAT storm. In our lives today, we need not fret because of our great storms. Instead, we need to prophesy against these storms. Do as Jesus did; REBUKE EVERY CONTRARY WIND BLOWING IN YOUR LIVES. Speak "Peace, be still" to every storm. Then there will surely be not just a calm but a GREAT calm after the great storm!!!
Be blessed!

God's Thoughts Towards You

Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Brethren, God's thoughts towards you are of PEACE and He has an expected end for you: He is the Alpha and Omega - The Beginning and The End (Rev. 1:8). In the mighty name of Jesus, you shall end well !!! The bible says: Better is the end of a thing than the beginning (Eccl. 7:8). In the mighty name of Jesus, you will not die unsung!! You will be celebrated !! The rest of your life shall be the best of your life in the mighty name of Jesus. My God shall rejoice over you with singing.

Brethren, God will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on him (Isaiah 26:3). Is your mind stayed on God? Let not your hearts be troubled because God has given you peace:

John 14:27 - Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you.

Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. One of the fruit of the spirit is peace (Gal. 5:22). Brethren, blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God (Matthew 5:9). Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).Brethren, whatsoever it is that you may be going through, hear the word of God: YOU ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS THROUGH CHRIST THAT LOVES YOU (Romans 8:37). May the peace of God that passeth all understanding keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (Phil. 4:7). And let the peace of God rule in your hearts (Col. 3:5).

Divine Transformation

Genesis 35:10 - And God said unto him, Thy name is Jacob: thy name shall not be called any more Jacob, but Israel shall be thy name: and he called his name Israel.

After hearing that Esau was coming with four hundred men to “meet” him, Jacob was greatly afraid and distressed (Gen. 32:11). He was so afraid that he divided his family and belongings into two so that one part will be spared if Esau smites the other part. Jacob then prayed to God to deliver him from his brother Esau. He was desperate. In response to his prayers God sent an angel to Jacob (in his sleep) to bless him (Genesis 32:24-30). Jacob “wrestled” with the angel, after which he was transformed from Jacob (meaning supplanter) to Israel (meaning Prince). As a result of this divine transformation, when Esau finally met Jacob, he hugged him instead of smiting him! Brethren, Esau originally intended to smite Jacob. But the person Esau hugged was no longer Jacob but Israel! God had transformed “Jacob” to “Israel”. You see, “Israel”, as a prince, had power with God and had prevailed (Gen. 32:28).

Brethren, God is the only one that can transform you from what you are into what you ought to be. God can change your name from “barren” to “joyful mother of many children”. He can change your name from “forsaken” to “eternal excellency” (Isaiah 60:15). He changed Abram’s name to Abraham and Sarai to Sarah. He changed Saul of Tarsus that was persecuting Christians to Paul the Apostle. Brethren, God can also transform you. He is God: He changeth not (Malachi 3:6). He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). He is the unchanging changer. God is no respecter of persons (Acts 10:34). With Him, there is neither Jew nor Greek (Galatians 3:28). Brethren, He is the one that can turn that setback in your life into your stepping stone to your breakthrough. He has promised to give you fame and praise where you have been put to shame (Zeph. 3:19-20).

I pray in the mighty name of Jesus that you will overcome. Those who used to laugh at and mock you will be forced to bow to your God. Those who used to ask where your God is will begin to declare that indeed you serve a living God (Dan. 6:26). For your shame, you shall have double honor. For brass you shall have gold, for iron you shall have silver, for wood brass, and for stones iron: God will also make thy officers peace, and thine exactors righteousness in Jesus’ mighty name I pray (Isaiah 60:17).

Dwell in God's Secret Place

Psalms 91:1 - He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

The SECRET PLACE of the Most High is that place you meet with God everyday. It could be at your beside. If you live in a big house, a separate room could be your secret place. In this SECRET PLACE, God is always there at a particular time waiting to fellowship with you. It could be everyday at 12 midnight or at 5am depending on your schedule.

In the secret place, you can communicate with God. You can talk to him and listen to what he places in your heart. You can sing praises to Him in your secret place if you don't know what to talk about. You can sing psalms and read your bible. Then listen to what God places in your heart.

God wants us to DWELL in the secret place. The bible passage above says “he that dwells in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty”. Do you desire to ABIDE under the shadow of the Almighty? Then, DWELL in the secret place OF THE Most High! As you dwell in the secret place of the most high, I pray in the mighty name of Jesus that God’s angels shall encamp around you.

Brethren, God is your refuge and your fortress. He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and the noisome pestilence. God’s truth shall be your shield and your buckler. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. As you call upon God, he shall answer thee. He will be with you in time of trouble. With long life he will satisfy you and show you his salvation. All these and other blessings I pray for you in Jesus’ mighty name.
Be Blessed!
